Photography: In the studio with my model

This photo was taken for the front cover of the magazine, I wanted to make my upcoming artist look into the camera so it would be as if she is loooking straight at the audience (viewers). I might not use this picture because she doesnt look happy in this photo. The whole point of the main image is to attract the audience, therefore she has to look welcoming and attractive.

I would be using this picture for my front cover as the main image. I think this picture looks professional because she is looking directly into the camera even though she is in a pose. also, she is smiling at the camera which is welcoming and would get the target audience to buy the magazine. In researching music magazines, I realised that the celebrities always look as if they are rich or have power so I choose the costume to be a fur coat. The effect the camera and lighting made on the white back drop inhances the picture quality.

I started taking pictures for my double page spread, my idea was to have many different pictures of the celebrity in different positions (poses). i think my model looked nice in this picture but the white drop back ground ruined the quality of the picture. In the making of the magazine I would crop my model in photoshop.

This is a sample of what my pictures would look like if I crop out the creases that are being shown on the white back drop in the photography when edited in Photoshop.
